Tales from Periphaeria

Designs, and designer’s musings, from the edge of the Universe
calendar January 21st, 2007 by Lady Periphaeria

My first official design has just gone out.

Alegra

Alergría is an exclusive freebie designed for friend’s ONS, and even I’m very pleased with the design I’m freaking out. All the what-ifs, the fear of stitchers rejecting it, the fear of just not being good enough… even though I know it’s lovely design, aesthetically and stitching wise, I’m worried.

That is the weight of sharing your creations with the world, but at the same time it’s also sweetest nectar. I’m loving this as much as I’m worrying about everything. :)

But as I see it: if the designer loves the design it has to be worth something, as we humans usually are our own worst critics. And that happens to apply with me too.

6 Stitches to “This little piggy went to the market…”

  1. I *love* it! You did a beautiful job. I’m so proud that I will be able to offer it to my customers in a few weeks. :)

  2. I love it! Of the ones you’ve shown so far, it’s my favorite. :) I don’t think you need worry too much about stitchers liking it.

  4. [...] firstly, let me thank you all for the comments on Alegría. They are much [...]

  5. It’s beautiful. Of course people will like it – and everything else you do, as well.

  6. Gorgeous biscornu! Love it. I will definitely look forward to it’s release.
